ROOTS IN CREATIVE, INNOVATION IN MIND

I started my career as a copywriter, working on big brands, and winning some awards. I shifted into strategy to see the bigger picture, and set creative teams up for success. As a strategist I honed my approach to well-informed insights: Consumer, Competitive, Cultural, and Brand insights. There are many powerful frameworks and "ways in" to a great strategy, and the best strategists can use them all. Unlike most strategists, I've spent the last five years practicing Design Thinking for digital innovation, facilitating strategic projects "from zero to one" (napkin to first customer), AND spent my early career as an award-winning copywriter. My working style is to serve the work, people first, take big swings, and if you're not having fun you're not doing it right.

Born and raised in the Seattle area, I moved to Atlanta in 2012 where I live with my brilliant and hilarious wife, and two kids. (I'm happy to work with you in-person or remotely.) In my spare time I love to travel, and write indie rock songs, playing open mics around town.
